(i) Use of the word bastard for non-believers
According to Holy Bible, those who do not endure hardships of life treating them as a punishment from God are bastards, and not sons. The New Testament states, Whatever hardships and difficulties you endure, treat them as a punishment from Father. Who is the son whom Father does not chastise to chasten ? If you are not chastised, you are then bastards, and not sons. It means those who consider Christ as their Father and endure the hardships treating them as a punishment by Father for chastening, are real sons of the Father, while others are bastards.
165. 7. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
- Hebrews, 12/7
